Thousands show up for first day of Street Fest 2014
Dowtown hosted the El Paso Street Fest which featured five stages, a car show and live art.
Thousands attended this years event.
Santa Fe Street was packed.
A sea of people covered the pavement for blocks and music rang out from every corner.
But the Street Fest wasn’t all rock and roll.
Families enjoyed the event as well.
“I think it’s very family friendly…there’s good food, lots of local culture, good food, good times,” said Judy Hearn.
The festival offered something for everyone.
There was food and trampolines, although it seemed the grownups were having more fun them.
There were also about a dozen artists painting.
“We just came out to have fun, nice and cool from the hot weather. It is awesome here,” said Chance Bronson.
There was also a car show Inside the convention center. Cars were gleaming and there was chrome galore.
The festival provided music for everyone’s taste some indie, some salsa and even some rock.
And of course all the fun doesn’t finish Saturday night, The Street Fest continues Sunday when doors open at 6 p.m.
