SWAT situation wakes up residents in East Central El Paso neighborhood

A man is in custody after barricading himself in an East Central home early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 5 am near the intersection of Sioux and Aztec. Police say the man was threatening suicide. A SWAT team was called out to help with the situation.

At around 7 a.m., El Paso Police tweeted that the situation had been resolved.
