The excitement is building day by day.
One Direction, with openers 5 Seconds of Summer, are set to perform Friday at Sun Bowl Stadium.
Here are some of the big things to know (the rest are available by clicking the links).
Fans cannot camp overnight for the concert.
Fans can line up starting at 4 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m.
Concert starts promptly at 7 p.m. Past reviews show that 5 Seconds of Summer plays a 45 minute set and One Direction for nearly two hours. Most concerts usually have about a 30-minute break or so betweeen the opener and headliner.
The concert is rain or shine. Umbrellas are not allowed but ponchos will be allowed in.
UTEP officials say One Direction is not staying in El Paso. They are coming into El Paso, performing, then leaving (known in the industry as a “runner” show).
There are rumors on social media that Niall Horan and 5 Seconds of Summer are in El Paso already and that Niall has been in El Paso since Wednesday night.
