1 person killed in rollover in West El Paso County
One person has died from injuries suffered in a one-vehicle crash near the Outlet Shoppes of El Paso.
El Paso County officials say the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Vinton Ave. When the driver drove onto the shoulder, over-corrected to the left, causing him to lose control.
He started to skid and then went off the roadway into the westbound shoulder, hitting a dirt embankment, and then rolling over.
Witnesses stopped to pull out the driver from the vehicle and began CPR.
He was taken to the hospital where he died.
Sheriff’s officials say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
