First Alert continues as temperatures are expected to climb to 105

Thursday was the hottest day of the year so far with temps anywhere from 105-112.

Officially the El Paso International Airport hit 107 degrees.

The StormTRACK Weather First Alert was extended due to hot temperatures continuing Friday.

A high of 105 is forecast for the city.

Changes will come this weekend, in the form of cooler temperatures and rain chances.

Low 100s are expected this Saturday, and temperatures around the upper 90s to low 100s by Sunday.

A 10 percent chance of rain Saturday and Sunday will increase to 30 percent Monday following a weak backdoor cool front.

Scattered storms are expected every day around the region next week.
