Police ID pedestrian killed in East El Paso Monday

El Paso Police have released the name of the pedestrian killed in East El Paso Monday night.

She has been identified as 65-year-old Guadalupe Baray.

Police say that Baray was crossing the 1800 block of George Dieter at about 7:22 p.m. when she was struck by a black 2006 Chrysler.

Police say Baray was not crossing in a crosswalk and was in an unlit portion of the roadway.

Baray was transported to Del Sol Medical Center where she died.

No charges have been filed and the investigation continues.

This is the 45 th traffic fatality of 2014.
