Prepare for I-10, Paisano road closures starting Friday night; part of Country Club closes Monday

Drivers get ready for some detours.

There will be a complete closure of Paisano Drive between Rhulen Court and San
Antonio Avenue.

The closure begins at 6 p.m. Friday night until about 3 p.m. Sunday.

Contractors continue work on Spur 1966. They will be placing concrete beams.

In Downtown El Paso, I-10 will be completely closed beginning this Sunday evening at 6 through 6 a.m. Monday.

It will be closed from the Downtown exit to Prospect.

Here are the detours for the I-10 closure.

Eastbound traffic must take the Downtown exit ramp.

Westbound traffic must take the Mesa exit ramp.

The following bridges will also be closed because steel arches are being installed at all the bridges.

Intersection of Country Club, Montoya Road closes to allow underground utility work

Residents of several Upper Valley neighborhoods will have to detour around the intersection of Country Club Road and Montoya beginning on Monday. The closures are needed to accommodate underground utility and storm drain work as part of the complete reconstruction of the roadway.

Impact to Local Traffic

Country Club Road is presently closed to all traffic between Montoya and Love Road. Starting on Monday September 29, 2014, the intersection of Country Club Road and Montoya Road will close as well.

Local traffic will be able to travel eastbound on Country Club as far as Columbine Street; Local traffic will be able to travel westbound beginning at Willow Creek Drive.

Impact to Thru Traffic

While some parts of the road are open to local traffic, thru traffic is reminded to continue using the following detours routes:
Eastbound thru-traffic detour:Take McNutt Road southbound to Sunland Park Drive eastbound to Doniphan Drive or Interstate 10.
Westbound thru-traffic detour:Take Interstate 10 or Doniphan Drive to Artcraft Road westbound to McNutt Road southbound.
