Update: Woman killed in Wednesday morning rollover identified
A 24-year-old woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle crash in far East El Paso.
El Paso County Sheriff’s officials say Annette Chavez, of East El Paso, was driving eastbound on Montana Ave. at about 1:30 a.m. when her Toyota Camry veered to the right and off the roadway. The vehicle then crashed into a chain-link fence, went airborne, and rolled over once.
Chavez died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled.
Sheriff’s officials say speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors in the accident.
