Update: Police release identity of woman killed in rollover near Vinton on Sunday

El Paso Police have released the identity of the woman killed in a rollover on I-10 near Vinton on Sunday.

She has been identified as 56-year-old Sonia Enriquez of Anthony, New Mexico.

Police say that the crash occurred at about 10:33 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 on I-10 East at mile marker 5.

Investigators believe Enriquez was traveling East in a 2004 Toyota Corolla and made an unsafe lane change, realized another vehicle was in the lane and then she overcorrected.

Police say that overcorrection led to her losing control of the car and caused it to leave the roadway before rolling over several times.

Enriquez was the only person in her vehicle. She suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.

She was wearing a seatbelt.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
