Nearly 150 EPISD teachers will need to reapply for jobs next year

Nearly 150 math and literacy coaches for the El Paso School District will have to reapply if they want to obtain one of the new active learning leader positions.

Only 126 ALL positions will be available for next school year. An EPISD spokeswoman told ABC-7 ALLs will help teachers move their classrooms into the future with updated methods, active learning and technology.

Under the plan, most schools will have one full-time ALL. Those currently in coaching positions who choose not to apply to be ALLs will return to the classroom. The district says no jobs will be lost due to the position changes.
