Woman had two children with her while allegedly trying to smuggle cocaine across border

A woman was caught using children to avoid suspicion while allegedly smuggling cocaine over the border.

It happened Wednesday evening at the Bridge of the Americas international crossing.

The 27-year-old from Juarez was arrested after 7.5 pounds of cocaine were found in the rear seat of her vehicle.

Also in the backseat were two children that she brought with her to blend in with traffic.

The driver was turned over to federal authorities while the kids were given to relatives.
