Bulletin warns Texas police of more biker threats
Texas law enforcement officials continue to investigate what they say are new threats against officers from biker gangs in the wake of the weekend shootout in Waco.
On Sunday, nine bikers were killed during a shootout at a Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco.
According to CNN, the bulletin warns of plots targeting high-ranking law enforcement officials and their families with car bombs. But some local bikers are not worried about the threats.
“It is just more violence, I guess,” one biker said. “Don’t really think much about it.”
The Bandidos reportedly want to retaliate against police for shooting “their brothers” as they came out of the Twin Peaks restaurant, the bulletin says.
But a mechanic in the Borderland has worked on several bikes for Bandidos gang members and said he doesn’t expect the threats to be carried out.
“A threat is just that, a threat,” mechanic Art Holcomb said. “Most threats I don’t think are carried out.”
A criminal investigation detective with the sheriff’s office also said these threats are not alarming at the current moment. He said they have not seen any direct threats linked to the shooting in Waco.
