UTEP Hoops: Meet Christian Romine

out here in el paso… one of them is freshman big man christian romine… romine is a freaky athlete for a guy his size… he’s 6-10… he’s from illinois and was rated as a 3 star prospect coming out of high school… he’s one of the most talented players the miners recruited… tennessee and iowa were showing interest before the miners got a hold of him… and he says he already loves his teammates… “they’re my new family and we all have the same expectation: get a conference championship and go to the tournament. we’re still getting used to playing with each other because we have quite a few new guys on the team but other than that, it’s been a great time.” romine won’t turn 18 until later this year … there is a possibility he could be red shirted… when asked about that, he said, whatever helps the team… a reminder that tonight
