Chihuahuas fireworks malfunction has fans dodging

dodging under tables and running for safety that’s what some chihuahuas fans were doing-during a fireworks display after last nights game. officials from the team confirming there was a malfunction and one guest required minor attention tonight we hear from a young girl who was at the game and witnessed the incident. abc-7’s jerry najera is live with the story … rick… we’ve been showing the video throughout the day and it’s opened some eyes. fireworks shooting towards the crowd some saying it was too close for comfort. last night chihuahuas game began like any other. many packing the stands this holiday weekend to see some fireworks fly high but thursday night was different-a fireworks malfunction recorded by julie bernard shows a big white flash-then a hissing followed by fireworks coming towards the crowd. “our heart was pounding because we were really scared” 13-year-old denis dominguez was at the game. she shows me video she scared” 13-year-old denis dominguez was at the game. she shows me video she took from her angle. it was desireez’s second time to the stadium she tells me she was looking forward to the fire works. “i was really exited i started recording right away” she tells me it all took a turn when the fireworks stopped shooting into the sky. “they jus went sideways instead of up it looked pretty cool but when people started shouting it scared me” chihuahuas sent us this statement: thankfully, only one guest required minor attention and left with their family. “th staff they were all running they were going in different directions” and although deziree loves fireworks displays and tells me she will go back she wants the stadium to be more cautious so it won’t happen again: “i hop that they make sure the fireworks are going to go up where they are supposed too everybody’s safe and nothing happens to people” officials for the chihuahuas say they are going on with the show tonight and they should be going off anytime soon. el paso county and the city of las cruces have fireworks bans in place this 4th of july holiday. so that
