German shepherd walks on Loop 375

walk this morning in a very unlikely and dangerous location. take a look– tex- dot traffic cameras followed the dog as it made its way through the eastbound lanes of loop 375 between paisano and fonseca. i have to say this had our newsroom including myself on edge as we watched this k-9 trot along the toll lane– then the shoulder… then it perched itself on the concrete barrier to check out the traffic in the opposite direction. some close calls for the german shepard. at one point– an el paso police unit was following behind the dog– but as soon as the car got close– the dog bolted. animal control also caught up with it, but no luck. the dog eventaully made its way across the highway and toward delta drive. i made a call to animal control services– i’m told the dog fireworks on the soccer field… the u-s
