El Paso Police arrest 25-year-old on sexual assault charge, child porn charge

El Paso Police have arrested and charged a 25-year-old man allegedly involved in a sexual assault and with promotion of child pornography.

Ian Christopher Bruffey, of the 10000 block of Railroad, was booked into the El Paso County jail on July 1 under a $100,000 bond for each charge.

According to the police affidavit, a 15-year-old girl told police she met Bruffey on social media and they allegedly had sex several times from Sept. 2014 to Feb. 2015.

The teen said Bruffey would take her to his apartment where he would have sex with her. She said this happened on multiple occasions, according to the affidavit.

The teen told police Bruffey recorded them having sex on at least two occasions and that Bruffey had several naked photos of her. In the affidavit, the teen says Bruffey would threaten to show the naked pictures to her friends at school if she refused his commands.

Police say they have reason to believe there may be other victims who have not come forward.
