Juarez man allegedly tries to sneak more than 2 pounds of meth over border in shoes
A 51-year-old Juarez man was stopped at the Paso Del Norte port of entry because his shoes were too bulky.
Customs and Border Protection officers on July 2 looked inside the shoes and found nearly 2 pounds of meth.
The man, identified by CBP as Carlos Fierro, told officers he didn’t know what the substance was.
Fierro was turned over to federal authorities.
