Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered in fiery crash
A man died after slamming his motorcycle into an SUV about noon Saturday, El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies said.
The crash occurred on the 12500 block of Montana near Tierra Este in Far East El Paso.
The bike caught fire after the motorcyclist crashed into the SUV. He was pulled to safety by another person.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken with a serious head injury to an area hospital, where he died. It is not known at this time if he was wearing a helmet.
No one inside the SUV was injured.
Special Traffic Investigators assisted in the investigation. They said speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
