Federal inmate escapes from La Tuna prison camp
A manhunt got underway Wednesday morning after an inmate escaped from La Tuna’s minimum security Federal Prison Camp.
The U.S. Marshals Service is asking anyone with information or who may have seen 21-year-old Edgar Perez Flores to call them immediately.
Prison officials discovered that Flores was missing about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Flores was sentenced to 57 months at the Anthony, Texas, prison camp for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute nearly 10 pounds of cocaine.
