Record-breaking donations make for a successful 2015 Humane Society of El Paso telethon

The 22nd annual Humane Society of El Paso “Save-a-Life” telethon was a huge success. During the 7-hour telethon broadcast on ABC-7, a record $148,616 was raised.
The goal was $130,000.
One-hundred percent of the donations stay in El Paso and go towards care of animals and maintenance of the no-kill shelter.

ABC-7’s Maria Garcia, Rick Cabrera, Jamie Warren, Bob Harp, and Krystal Klei hosted the 2015 telethon, along with the shelter’s executive director, Betty Hoover, and Kandolite Flores.

We are able to do our work becauseof generous donations from individuals like you, localbusiness support, grants and bequests. If it were notfor you, the HSEP would not exist.
Where does your donation go?
The Humane Society of El Paso provides quality care and a safe, healthy, temporary shelter for thousands of animals every year. We provide public education regarding responsible pet ownership, low cost humane euthanasia services and we have the only pet crematorium in the city. These are just a few of the many services that the HSEP provides for thecommunity and it is all made possible because of your pledge.
