Unveiled, have been the Chihuahuas-Star Wars Yoda jerseys
Many a padawan and El Pasoans will want these jerseys.
The El Paso Chihuahuas will wear special Star Wars themed jerseys – featuring Yoda – on Aug. 12 against the Las Vegas 51s.
“We are proud to provide a night of fun for fans of all ages, and to benefit the El Paso Exploreum,” said Brad Taylor, general manager of the El Paso Chihuahuas.
Yoda just happens to have similar ears to a Chihuahua. Fun, the Jedi master would have with that joke. See Star Wars-themed jerseys Minor League Baseball teams have worn at http://www.kvia.com/news/34532634
“We are honored that the Chihuahuas have selected the El Paso Exploreum as the jersey auction beneficiary,” said Laurie Paternoster, co-founder. “We are committed to providing our community with a quality children’s museum. This generous donation will allow us to continue this mission. “
The evening will also include a Star Wars themed Fireworks Spectacular choreographed to John William’s franchise score.
The 501 st Legion (Stormtroopers) and Mandalorian Mercenaries (Boba Fett inspired costumes) will be in costume at the ballpark. Darth Vader also will be in attendance but be careful not to anger the dark Lord of the Sith.
The El Paso Exploreum is an interactive children’s museum that offers more than 60 hands-on exhibits for ages 12 and younger. Exhibits also include the history of El Paso, a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) room, Inspiration Station, Airport Adventure and Shuttle to the Stars to name a few.
