Spaghetti Bowl crash ties up traffic

Eastbound I-10 saw a serious traffic slowdown after a Wednesday afternoon wreck. A truck slammed into one of the new new decorative light towers by the Spaghetti Bowl before 2 p.m at the Raynolds exit, backing up traffic to the Piedras exit.

Workers were on the tower at the time of the crash, but none were injured. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital. The Texas Department of Transportation shut down the right shoulder around the crash, and reported it would take about an hour to clear.
