found out he holds a new guinness world record. but he’s not the only one from the borderland trying to make their mark on history. photojournalist esmeralda ojeda gives us a look back. “nats of piano” “i guess happy, excited, it just a mix of emotions.” that’s brandon bailey describing how it feels to hold a guinness world record. he was 12 years and 363 days old when he released his debut album, making him the youngest professional music producer in the world. but that’s not the only record that was broken here in the borderland. “nats youn man ..” the 2008 sunbowl played host to the largest “ymca” dance by more tha 40-thousand people, a record still held to this day. also broken at the sunbowl: “most consecutive backflips” in 2012. another current record: “th highest pinfall in tenpin bowling in 24 hours by a pair”. “largest package product display”? that title is still held by lowe’s market and pepsico for this display last july. roberto estrada of las cruces was even once ranked for his ten and a half foot enchilada. this las cruces teen attempted to get the most piercings on his body.. that’s all we’re going to show for now. “to set a world record is exciting..” lee schwartz along with the el paso high school alumni association — is also hoping to break a record. in honor of the school’s 100th year, the group will attempt to hold the largest class reunion next october. “the whole idea was how do we get people to come back for this special event, and that’s what came out of this think tank, so we’re going for it.” we’ll have t wait until october 2016 to see if they make history. eo, abc-7. el paso high needs at least 3- thousand 3 hundred participants to break the record. if you know anyone who graduated, attended, taught, or even worked at the school — contact the e-p-h-s alumni association. here’s another live look outside courtesy of the tex-dot traffic
