Chaparral teen stabbed, killed in Northeast El Paso

A Chaparral, N.M. teen was stabbed and killed Friday night in Northeast El Paso, police said.

Cesar Gutierrez, 19, was taken the Providence’s Northeast Urgent Care Center after a altercation about 9 p.m. in the 10400 block of Rushing Road.

Police said the emergency room was not able to provide the proper care for the Gutierrez, so he was rushed to University Medical Center, where he died.

The two people who drove Gutierrez to the urgent-care center were involved in a crash, but police said the injuries were minor.

There have been not arrests. Police ask anyone with information to call them immediately at (915) 832-4400, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915)-566-8477.
