Back to School: Mesita Early Childhood Center parking issues

children— but can be somewhat stressful for parents when it comes to traffic and parking. residents around mesita early childhood center– what used to be vilas elementary– may find themselves competing for the limited parking spaces in the area. good morning el paso’s denise olivas is live to explain… denise? the mesita early childhood center right in the middle of a residential area. and now only houses kindergarteners and first graders– meaning more parents are dropping their children and less students are walking there. because of the increase in traffic flow– the city of el paso alotted more designated parking spaces for staff and visitors who will need permits to park around mesita early childhood center. the parking lot at the center doesn’t hold enough parking. more permits for them means less parking spaces for residents who live in the area and are also forced to park along the streets. one mother we spoke with says she appreciates the extra “it’s convenient for the parent as well… we can access our kids” coming up in our next half hour– one resident isn’t too happy with the changes. coming up later on good
