Man allegedly fires several shots from his front-yard, SUV involved in crash

Police caught up with a man they said fired gunshots from his home and a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night in Northeast El Paso.

Jordan Curtis Lincoln, 20, allegedly fired several gunshots from his front yard, hitting two homes across the street. He allegedly left in an SUV police said was involved in another shots-fired call a few minutes later about three miles away at McCombs and Dyer streets.

It was the same vehicle that was then reported to have been involved in a hit-and-run crash up the road at Dyer Street and Angora Loop. Officers with the Gang Unit searched the area and found the SUV in the rear of an apartment complex on the 11600 block of Dyer Street.

Inside Lincoln’s home on the 4900 block of Grapeland Drive, police said they found several firearms and ammunition. Police were able to identify Lincoln as the alleged gunman and secured a warrant for his arrest.

On Wednesday night, officers arrested Lincoln during a traffic stop. He was charged with deadly conduct and booked into the El Paso County Jail with bond set at $149,000.
