Groundbreaking: Active duty soldiers pose for breastfeeding photo

History at Fort Bliss …
A photographer working to decorate a nursing room on post decided it would be nice to display a photo of a soldier breast feeding her baby. She asked around to see if anyone was interested thinking one or two mothers would call. Turns out — 10 mothers were interested.
The amazing moment was captured by photographer Tara Ruby, a former enlisted service member. With this photo, these mothers were able to show that even mothers in uniform can provide for their babies. Ruby says that to her knowledge … this is the first photo ever taken of a group of active duty mothers nursing their little ones on post — out in the open. Ruby says being a soldier and a mother makes these ladies even stronger.
