UTEP’s Mack Leftwich returns to practice

A familiar face took the practice field Monday looking to help the Miners get back in the win column.

Quarterback Mack Leftwich was cleared from concussion protocol and took first team reps at practice Monday.

While the starting quarterback position is still up in the air, Head Coach Sean Kugler is confident about Leftwich’s return.

“He did well,” Kugler said. “We’ll see how he responds. He entered the concussion protocol and it’s a lengthy process, but he completed it.”

The Miners host Florida Atlantic on October 24.
