Two people injured in Fabens train crash

Two people are in the hospital after their car was hit by a train. It happened around 8:30pm Wednesday in Fabens, near 4th Street.

El Paso Sheriff’s Office investigators say the car’s tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control and veer into the path of the train. Investigators say the train was slowing down when it hit the car, but it ended up getting crushed.

ABC-7 has learned the two people in the car do not have life-threatening injuries and are listed in stable condition.
