El Pasoans celebrate Halloween at Madeline Park

Hundreds of kids and families gathered at Madeline Park in El Paso Saturday to celebrate Halloween. Many houses around the neighborhood were made up with spooky decorations.

One house in particular, University of Texas at El Paso Professor Peter Golding’s home was decorated by eight to ten students as part of a community project. The students have been planning since August, putting their skills in engineering and graphic design to practical use in order to create an interactive display.

“Its rewarding to see your hard work cause something from a child when they see it, ” Asa Aguilar, a UTEP student, said. “It’s going to be interesting when they see them because we have projection and animation of all the classic monsters and they’ll be fully interacting with all of them.”
