Montana Vista mobile home damaged after early morning fire

A Montana Vista mobile home was damaged after an early morning fire Saturday.

The fire happened before ten Saturday morning at a mobile home on the 3700 block of Satiacum Lane in Montana Vista.

Sheriff’s deputies tell Abc-7 when firefighters arrived on scene the mobile home was engulfed in flames. A family of three lives inside the house but the family was not inside at the time of the fire. Neighbors did rescue two dogs that were inside at the time.

Investigators determined the fire was started after improper use of a an iron wood burning stove.

No injuries were reported.

The property owner estimated the damage at about $25,000.
