Crash involving 5 vehicles forces closure of Loop 375 South in Lower Valley

Police closed the south-bound lanes on Loop 375 just before you get to Alameda because of a car crash involving five vehicles.

A person injured in the crash is in critical condition and Special Traffic Investigators were called to the scene of the crash, which happened shortly after 5 p.m.

Late Friday night, traffic heading south on Loop 375 was being forced off the highway at the North Loop exit. Investigators were collecting evidence near Loop 375 and Alameda.

Police kept the media far away from the crash. An ABC-7 photographer was able to record footage of two of the vehicles involved. They appeared to be a pick-up and a Nissan sports car.
