Study reveals another obstacle for the fight to bring back grass, Fort Bliss National Cemetery

The continuous battle to bring grass back to Fort Bliss continues, however studies reveal another obstacle.

UTEP geology professors studied the cemetery’s land, which revealed salt in the soil which could make it more difficult to grow grass. Since the removal of the grass in 2007, veterans have fought to bring the grass back.

The findings will be presented to the Cemetery Committee next month and they will decide how to move forward with the obstacle.
