the pope’s visit to the borderland is still fresh in many people’s minds. it was truly a historic event. hundreds of thousands celebrated mass with pope in juarez. of course, here in el paso we had the “tw nations, one faith” event at th sun bowl. 30,000 people there. and many, many more were glued to their televisions on wednesday, watching from home. when pope francis touched down in juarez, he was greeted by hundreds of people in bleachers set up at the city’s airport. he was also greeted by bishop mark seitz, of the catholic diocese of el paso. and joing us now is bishop seitz. welcome — the question everyone wants to know is you interacted with the pope — and he was talking very intently to you — pointing back and forth. what did he say? there was about 250,000, but it seemed very organized and peaceful. what was your sense of the mass? that night the pope made a comment that riled up donald trump. he said “christian don’t build walls, they build bridges” what is your opninon on that? you missed the “two nations, one faith celebration.” i was there, it was a beautiful event.
