i’m hillary floren. good morning, everyone. first we have an abc-7 traffic alert to pass along in far east el paso — a portion of gateway west near eastlake is blocked off after a one car rollover. the el paso county sheriff’s office says it happened just before 5 o’clock this morning. only one car is involved and it landed on the median on gateway west near halstead. this is a live look at the scene right now from our round the clock crew. you can see that portion of gateway west being blocked off with the flares on the road. you are going to want want to give yourself some extra time by using mcrae or sumac to get around it. details are still limited but we will update you will the very latest on this developing story. temperatures will climb back into the 60s to around 70 today in the lowlands of southern new mexico and far west texas. temperatures will continue to slowly climb through the weekend with just some passing high clouds expected on saturday. breezy conditions can be expected monday followed by slightly cooler temperatures tuesday. several people are dead following a dead following a deadly shooting spree in kansas. police and co- workers say 38-year- old cedric ford, is responsible. new information this morning. ford started his rampage shooting at random drivers– wounding two, before heading to excel industries in hesston kansas where he worked and open firing on people there. “and then i seen a mob of peopl just start running out saying run, run and pop pop pop pop pop? was all i heard and then everybody started scattering out of the building and i didn’t know what happened until i got outside and seeing wounded people coming out. police and witnesses say ford kept shooting until a single officer, the first to arrived and fired back. in the end… four employees, including the shooter, would not survive– many more wounded. ford had an extensive criminal record in florida. according to the gun violence archive, hesston is the thirty-third mass shooting in the united states just this year. / new this morning– the el paso county sheriff’s office is still investigating after four people were arrested for possession of marijuana this week. 20- year-olds jose gonzalez and jose carlos andrade as well as rodolfo guerrero were arrested tuesday in san elizario. the fourth offender was a minor so his identification was not released. according to the sheriff’s office, about 160 pounds was found on the subjects. the three adult offenders were charged with possession and were each booked under a 30-thousand dollar bond. the juvenile was turned over to the juvenile probation department. also new this morning the sheriff’s office also arrested one man in canutillo this week on charges of burglary and evading arrest. it happened wednesday in canutillo. according to the sheriff;s office they were issuing a warrant on the 900 block of zinn road for 34-year-old moises gurrero.. when they entered the home gurrero attempted to dlee through the bathroom window. they apprehended him in the neighboring area. he was booked into the downtown county detention center. a man in dona ana county is accused of molesting two young family members. 78-year- old alfonso jimenez was arrested by sheriff’s deputies yesterday morning. he’s charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor. a woman who changed her plea in a case involving a deadly crash is now waiting to learn her sentence. desiree skaf’s trial was supposed to begin on monday but instead she pleaded guilty yesterday to intoxicated manslaughter. in july of 2013 — skaf crashed into the back of another car, killing 25-year-old janet balderrama. the crash happened on doniphan. skaf drove off — but her car ended up breaking down a mile away. balderrama was a mother of two. her family had to make the decision to take her off life support. skaf is currently out on bond. she faces 7 to 20 years in prison. it’s the home stretch to super tuesday and the gop presidential contenders had a texas showdown during a primetime debate in houston. this as the democrats prepare for tomorrow’s south carolina primary. abc’s kenneth moton has the latest from washington. it’s your
