Miners edge past FIU to advance in C-USA Tournament

Courtesy of Lee Moore’s 30 points and Earvin Morris’s 25, the UTEP Miners pulled out a win against FIU 85-77 to advance to the next round of the C-USA Tournament.

The Miners led by 11 at the half, but watched it disappear as the Panthers tied the game up on more than one occasion late in the second half.

But thanks to solid play from both Moore and Morris down the stretch, the Miners snuck away with a close win. UTEP will play #3 seed Marshall Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on ASN.
