Man wanted for 2008 murder arrested at El Paso Airport
The El Paso Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants and Apprehension Unit along the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a man who was wanted for Murder.
Pedro Martinez, 59, was taken into custody at the El Paso International Airport after he was extradited back to El Paso for a murder that occurred in 2008.
In September 2008, Martinez strangled Armando Rodriguez to death using a belt, according to court documents obtained by ABC-7. Documents state that Martinez also used his hand and foot to strangle 25-year-old Rodriguez to death.
This happened at a Motel 6 near the spaghetti bowl.
Martinez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a total bond of $500,000.
