Motorcyclist killed in overnight crash on Loop 375 identified

El Paso Police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning in northeast El Paso. This happened on Loop 375 North and Sergeant Major Blvd around 3 a.m.

Investigators said 28-year-old Donald Douglas Hanson was riding a 2012 Victory Freedom Motorcycle northbound when he exited exit 28. For some unknown reason, Hanson fell off his motorcycle onto the lane of traffic. At the same time, a 2013 GMC Terrain, driven by 23-year-old Alysia Forker, was also exiting exit 28. Police said Forker struck Hanson with the vehicle. Hanson died at the scene. Forker remained at the scene of the crash.

Special Traffic Investigators along with Fort Bliss Military Police were called to assist.

This is the 16th fatality of 2016, compared to nine last year.
