I-10 NOW OPEN from Executive to Sunland

If you have to get around the west side of El Paso Saturday, keep in mind that I-10 is completely shut down, scheduled from 3 am until 3 pm.

The closure is happening from Executive Center Boulevard to Sunland Park Drive. Westbound lanes at Sunland Park are still open as are the eastbound lanes at Executive.

The closure was originally planned for Sunday but it was bumped up to Saturday instead. Texas Department of Transportation told ABC-7 that the change request came from New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez. Her office said that request was made to avoid a “traffic nightmare” for Sunland Park’s Fiesta del Sol celebration.
