where earlier this week they found explosives and bomb-making material in an apartment used by the attackers. nats – police raid investigators are trying to figure out if there were other potential targets. they claim brothers haleed and ibraheem al-buck-rowee secretly recorded a top belgian nuclear scientist using a hidden camera- the two killed in the attacks- were on a u.s. terror watch- list. authorities are also on the hunt for a man, shown on surveillance just before the attack. and searching for this suspect shown with the bombers at the airport. nats as the memorials across brussels grow, and the grieving continues? the survivors are speaking out?. sebastian bellin telling his story to abc’s david muir dm: in the moment, you’re thinking about your wife and your kids? sb: yeah. something like that. i just didn’t want my girls to grow up without a dad, you know molly hunter tag us authorities tell abc news they believe they have identified that mystery man in the airport, and they believe he was on a us terror watch list. here in belgium authories are working around the clock to identify him and capture him. molly hunter abc news, brussels. and capture him. molly hunter abc news, brussels. the man who police say murdered el paso police officer david ortiz more than two weeks ago is back in the county jail this morning. john paul perry is now being charged with capital murder. police say he intentionally crashed into ortiz — as ortiz waited at a stoplight on his motorcycle. perry was arrested in merkel, texas — that’s about six hours from el paso. at a news conference yesterday, police chief greg allen said the investigation revealed that perry targeted ortiz: “we were provided wit information that we probably wont be able to reveal at this point and time because it might compromise the case” there are a lot of unanswered questions about the connection between the two. police don’t know if there was any contact between officer ortiz and perry before the crash. and it’s also unclear why perry was more than six hours away and where he was going. last friday officer ortiz was laid to rest. the 45- year-old was a husband and a father of two. the news was especially difficult within the law enforcement community. dona ana sheriff ki vigil sent abc-7 this statement “when an officer goes down it hits home with all of us. you saw us working side by side during the pope visit and you saw us standing together at officer ortiz’s funeral.” as law enforcement officers we close ranks in honor of that officers memory. that an individual would kill an officer simply for wearing a uniform and a badge, what hesitation would there be in harming those that officer would protect.” / a grand jury has indicted embattled dona ana county treasurer david gutierrez. from our new mexico mobile newsroom. he’s accused of public corruption. the same grand jury also accused gutierrez of gross immorality by a public official. a jury trial will be held in district court to decide if he should be removed from office. gutierrez admitted to offering an employee $1,000 for sex in 2011 — but no charges were filed until after county commissioners sent a request that the district attorney’s office investigate. for the first time, our new mexico mobile newsroom caught up with gutierrez as he was leaving his office — and he had no comment as our cameras were rolling. if convicted — he could face up to 18 months in prison. abc-7 is still waiting to learn who is at fault in a deadly crash that happened yesterday morning. we brought you this as breaking news right here on good morning el paso.. it happened around 5:30 a.m.at the intersection of album and wedgewood. that’s near album park. police say 37-year old jose cordova was driving north on wedgewood — when the driver of another vehicle — 26-year old richard garrett flores — entered the intersection from album. the 2 vehicles collided. cordova died at the scene. there are traffic lights at that intersection — but police have not said which driver was at fault. now it’s time to take a look at the tx-dot traffic cams… a good friday tradition in the borderland continues … we are talking about the annual hike up mount cristo rey that is set to begin early this morning. abc-7’s andrew j. polk joins us live from where hundreds are expected to show up. andrew??
