Friends mourn loss of family in deadly crash
harwood’s family tells us– they are mourning the devastating loss, but shared these photos with… this is 28-year old antoinette harwood. her sister tells us she was a good hearted, loving mother of five. harwood’s 2-year old son, adrian jr. was also killed. he just turned two in february. and layahna band was killed. she was only 18-days old. abc-7’s jamie warren spoke with harwood’s childhood friend. she’s live with more. jamie? evan and josie, friends i spoke with today are calling this an absolute tragedy. today, they focused on the memories, and the life of the family: “she was a really great mom. it just hard knowing she’s not here no more” disbelief from tiana and april– long time friends of antoinette since elementary school. “it wa always just us three we were, what’d you say? inseperable? ” the two women sharing laugh and tears remembering the 28-year-old described as loving, sweet and understanding. even those who didn’t know her for as long, say she touched their heart. “her priority were her kids, she loved her kids. there was never once that i would see her with out her kids” her children, friends say, is what makes this tragedy all the more heartbreaking abc-7 was there as part of the highway was shut down after the crash. investigators working in the dark hours of the morning. standup new mexico state police say antoinette was the driver in a hundai sedan going south here on i25 near mile marker 6. they say her car came to a stop. that’s when a ford sedan, also in the left lane collided with them. causing their fuel tank to rupture and catch fire. antoinette and her boyfriend’s 19-year- old sister, corine, died instantly. antoinette’s 2 year old son adrian, and her 18 day old daughter died at the hospital. “for it to happen t her and the two babies. i want to say it just mindblowing” friends say antoinette’s two older children who were 6 and 9 years old are now left with out a mom. friends had this message for her: “im proud of the momma that she is and that one day we’ll meet again” we’ve reached out to corine banda’s family, the 19 year old killed in that crash, but have been unable to contact them. family and friends have set up a go fund me page for funeral expenses. that information is on our website, kvia.com. fire crews have
