Anthony residents vote to elect three new councilmen

Update: Unofficial election results name three new council members for the Town of Anthony.

For Councilman 3, Benjamin C. Romero Jr. was voted in with 63 percent of the 350 votes (221 votes).

For Councilman 4, Joanna Rivera was voted in with 59 percent of the 349 votes (207 votes).

For Councilman 5, Eduardo Eddie Chavez was voted in with 57 percent of the 337 votes (193 votes).

The town of Anthony is voting to elect three new councilman.

For councilman 3, early voting results shows that of the 142 votes Benjamin C. Romero Jr. leads with 60 percent (85 votes). Cesar Arreola received 40 percent (57 votes).

For councilman 4, Joanna Rivera leads with 55 percent of the votes (78 votes). Rosie R. Holguin has 45 percent (64 votes).

For councilman 5, Eduardo Eddie Chavez leads the polls with 61 percent of the 138 votes (84 votes). Jesus Carrasco has 39 percent of the votes (54 votes).
