a police investigation into an officer involved shooting continues on the 10-thousand 9-hundred block of dizzy dean. that’s in northeast el paso. our breaking news coverage on air began on abc-seven at noon, about an hour after police say a man came out of a home, firing a gun at officers. abc-7’s complete coverage now with reporter stephanie guadian. the people who live here call this area quiet neighborhood. that changed about 11am when a man allegedly started shooting inside a home. take a look behind me.you can see investigators are still here here on dizzy dean place. this is the only street blocked off– so there really is no traffic tie up. a woman inside a home about halfway down the block called police to report a man inside the home had started shooting. a police spokesman told me when officers arrived they tried to convince the man to come out peacefully. instead he came out allegedly armed with a revolver and shot at police who fired back. we talked to one neighbor who heard something strange this morning. “i was eating breakfast and i heard a loud pop like two or three of them…i wouldn’t expect that coming from this neighborhood.” i am told the 2 officers who shot at the man were not hurt. the person shot was taken umc- his condition is not known. the woman who made the 911 call was not injured. the relationship between the woman and man is not known- however police are calling this a domestic situation. the 2 officers will be placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. neep. sg. abc7. we’re also
