EPPD officer receives minor injuries in crash that closes I-10
El Paso Police confirm an officer received minor injuries when a driver crashed into his patrol car. It happened on I-10 West near Raynolds at about 8:30pm Tuesday.
A police spokesman says the officer was taken to University Medical Center and is expected to be OK. However, details on the driver who hit the officer are not yet being released.
I-10 West was closed while investigators and emergency crews clear the scene. Traffic is being rerouted off I-10 onto the Spaghetti Bowl. It could take a few hours to clear the scene.
