Socorro City Rep. Cox resigns citing health concerns
Socorro City Representative Sergio Cox submitted his letter of resignation Monday morning, Socorro Mayor Jesus Ruiz said.
Cox cited health issues he’s had for the past few months, Ruiz added.
“Council will take action on his resignation and discuss holding a special election to elect a new representative,” Ruiz said.
Ruiz told ABC-7 Cox had served on council since November of 2013 and had previously served as the “At Large Representative” from 2006-2010.
