Name of man killed in Sunday morning rollover released

Sheriff’s deputies tell ABC-7 Cesar Mejia Montoya, 25, was killed in an early-morning rollover Sunday.

It happened in Far East El Paso County on the 13700 block of Gateway West Boulevard in between Eastlake and Horizon Boulevards.

Sheriff’s deputies said Mejia Montoya was driving a white Nissan sedan on Gateway West Boulevard. Deputies said he lost control and rolled off the road. The car ended up in the desert area next to the Gateway.

That portion of Gateway West was closed for several hours while sheriff’s deputies investigated.

Deputies are still investigating why the driver lost control of the vehicle.
