Police arrest two women, allegedly driving drunk and speeding over 100 mph

EPPD officers charged two women Friday morning with driving drunk and speeding more than 100 mph.

At about 1:30 a.m. Friday, police officers arrested Lenzy Juarez, 31, of the 5800 block of Baywood in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Juarez was allegedly driving over 100 mph in a Chevrolet Camaro on the freeway.

The posted speed limit where Juarez was pulled over near UTEP is 60 mph, police said. She was allegedly driving drunk and police charged her with DWI.

About two hours later, police arrested Jody Traversy, 19, of the 8500 block of Viscount in El Paso. She was allegedly driving a Dodge Dart east on I-10 at a speed of 125 mph, police said.

Police pulled Traversy over near I-10 East and Airway. She was also charged with DWI.
