Fire continues to burn in Franklin Mountains

Franklin State Park Rangers tell ABC-7 they believe the fire was sparked by lighting on the northeast side of the Franklin Mountains.

Rangers responded to the call around 3 p.m. Sunday. Officials tell us that there is no reason to put the fire out since there are no nearby structures.

Park rangers will continue monitoring the fire.
