Las Cruces man accused of molesting girl
Police arrested a man suspected of molesting a girl.
30-year-old Noel Mendoza, of the 2700 block of Sandigale Drive, is charged with one first-degree felony count of criminal sexual penetration of a minor and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police learned of allegations against Mendoza Monday.
On at least one occasion, sometime between November 2015 and March 2016, Mendoza forced the girl to perform a sexual act. He allegedly told the girl not to tell anybody about it.
Detectives are continuing their investigation and additional charges are possible.
Mendoza was arrested early Tuesday morning and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where he is initially being held without bond.
