Sheriff’s office looking for sex offender who allegedly violated his parole

The El Paso Sheriff’s Office is searching for a wanted sex offender.

Authorities say Robert Lee Herron was released from West Texas Intermediate Sanction Facility on Monday, June 27. They say he was scheduled to arrive in El Paso later that day.

Herron was supposed to notify the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole once he was in El Paso county but didn’t. He was also supposed to report to 1700 Horizon at the halfway house on the far east side.

Herron is now in violation of his parole. He is out on parole for possession of cocaine and aggravated sexual assault of a child. The victim was a 14-year-old girl.

If you know where he may be you are asked to call authorities.
